Hanalei Sian Souza
Hello internet! My name is Hanalei Souza and I am a Jesus freak, Passionate snowboarder, Paleo chef, proud wife, and Park Crew at Northstar Ski Resort. Learning to snowboard at 14 was a big turning point in my life because it gave me direction, passion, and a way to challenge my limits, rebel against my fears, and enjoy life. I grew up in Cupertino, CA, but decided to go into full send mode with this boarding thing and move to Tahoe after high school to study Ski resort management at Sierra Nevada College, where I graduated in 2017. Snowboarding is the inspiration behind many of my posts, and I hope you enjoy reading them and can feel the passion that I put into writing about it.
In addition to snowboarding, I am also an avid chef in my own home, with the belief that food can be healthy, tasty, easy to make, and on a reasonable budget. You can check out my food blog on this website for recipes, tips, and other food related writing by yours truly.
Most of all, I have a passion for becoming as unique as possible, questioning convention, following Jesus, and always trying and learning new things!
Fun facts: I speak fluent Chinese, and I am
half british, half burmese royalty.
Epic bar makes high-quality meat jerky bars. Striving to destroy the idea that meat is bad for you and the environment, they focus on the source of the animal and the impact on the environment. Making sure to use every single part, they also make bone broths, pork rinds, and quality cooking fats.
Coalition Snow is a for-women-by-women ski and snowboard company that stopped waiting around for the industry to change and made their own equipment for women who rip. Capturing the niche market of advanced female riders, they not only make quality skis and boards, but create a community for female riders known as the Sisterhood of Shred.
